Wildlife Conservation Initiative (WCI)

In Rwanda, WCI restores the environment by empowering local community members to conserve endangered plants and animals, manage waste more efficiently, and promote sustainable farming practices like agroforestry.

With the grant, WCI will restore the land around the Mukungwa River by building community-run nurseries and planting thousands of native trees across the Ngororero and Nyabihu Districts.
