Monitoring, Reporting & Verification

From Planting to Proof

Tested and co-created in the field with more than 300 projects, WRI's monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) framework offers a simpler, standardized way to track the progress of hundreds of local projects at once.

By combining local knowledge and rapid advances in satellite imagery and artificial intelligence, this system has significantly reduced the cost of verifying outcomes across a large portfolio.

Field knowledge + satellite intelligence

To maximize the survival rate of each growing tree, VIA Foundation's project managers and field coordinators actively support each partner as they mobilize communities, prepare sites for planting, and maintain and monitor the ecosystem as new trees take root.

This system gives community organizations, growing enterprises, financiers, the public sector, and communities access to real data and insights on project progress across the portfolio.
