Vert Limited

Vert Limited is a Kenyan agro-processing company established in 2006, known for its leadership in cultivating, processing, and exporting high-quality agricultural products such as dried fruits, fruit purees, and fresh produce. With nearly two decades of experience, Vert partners with over 5,000 smallholder farmers, focusing on empowering rural communities, especially women and youth, through sustainable farming and value addition. The company is recognized for its innovative mango processing and strong commitment to social impact, quality, and community development.

The proposed project aims to restore dryland farms in Makueni County by planting 70,000 new mango trees in collaboration with smallholder farmers, particularly in high-yielding areas like Makueni, Mbooni, and Kibwezi West. Vert will work with certified nurseries and agricultural partners to provide clean planting stock, deliver targeted farmer training, and support the formation of farmer groups for efficient input supply and market access. The project integrates digital tree tagging and monitoring to ensure traceability and compliance, while technical support and regular extension visits will help farmers adopt best practices. By increasing mango coverage, the initiative seeks to boost family incomes, enhance climate resilience, reduce post-harvest losses, and strengthen Vert’s value chain, ultimately delivering significant economic and environmental benefits to the region.
