Recognizing how farmers in developing countries struggle to access markets, Solidaridad partners with communities to improve value chains and find sustainable markets for their produce.

The TerraFund grant will expand its “Shade 4 Vegetables” (SAVE) project, which restore degraded catchments using agroforestry systems. Solidaridad will partner with small-scale farmers in Laikipia and Nyandarua counties to integrate trees in vegetable farming systems adjacent to the catchment and broader watershed to improve water security in this dry region.
