Recognizing the crucial role of engaging youth in forest restoration, Save Kenya Water Towers purchases and distributes seedlings to schools and institutions. Over the last ten years, the organization has grown more than 10 million trees and rehabilitated several catchment areas in the Cherangani Water Towers, Mount Elgon and Mau Forest. It has also partnered with the Kenya Forest Service and other environmental institutions to set up tree nurseries.

Save Kenya Water Towers will use this grant to cultivate diverse tree species and rehabilitate parts of the Greater Rift Valley that have been degraded by unsustainable agricultural practices.
