For years, members of Rwanda's organic agriculture industry, including farmers, processors, and exporters, faced limited avenues to showcase their products. In 2007, ROAM was established to provide an organized and more focused movement dedicated to promoting organic agriculture. It is a member of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement (IFOAM), a global umbrella organization for organic agriculture movements that represents nearly 800 affiliates in 117 countries.
With this grant, ROAM will spearhead forest restoration initiatives, encompassing tree growing, natural resources management, and agriculture in Rutsiro District, alongside other community-led tree-growing endeavors.
