Founded in 2017, RCCDN is composed of 62-member organizations who came together to address and research climate change and development issues in the region. The partnership advocates for climate resilience in Rwanda’s communities, working with government agencies to improve policies and encouraging aid groups to include local climate concerns in their projects.
RCCDN will use the grant to regreen degraded landscapes in the Karongi District of the Western Province. It will focus on restoring abandoned mining sites, family-owned farms, and the hillsides surrounding Lake Kivu.
