PROMACNUTS LTD

PROMACNUTS LTD is dedicated to restoring degraded land and promoting sustainable economic development through macadamia-based agroforestry. With 15 years of experience, the organization has built expertise in producing and distributing high-quality grafted macadamia seedlings, training communities in tree cultivation, and supporting farmers with technical guidance. Their mission centers on empowering farmers with income-generating crops, enhancing biodiversity, and fostering climate resilience. PROMACNUTS has a strong track record in community development, value chain integration, and establishing partnerships that optimize benefits for smallholder farmers.

The proposed project aims to restore 85 hectares of degraded land by planting over 54,000 macadamia and agroforestry trees, supporting farmers in site preparation, planting, and maintenance, and integrating soil conservation practices. The initiative will provide training in climate-smart agriculture and macadamia production, targeting equitable participation of women and youth. PROMACNUTS will facilitate collective marketing, establish savings groups to strengthen financial inclusion, and create jobs through the development of a robust macadamia value chain. The project is designed to improve household incomes, enhance food security through intercropping, and ensure long-term sustainability by building local capacity and linking farmers to markets and microfinance institutions.
