Organization for Support to the Environmental Protection and Climate Change Adaptation (OSEPCCA)

OSEPCCA builds partnerships with government and private institutions to implement landscape restoration, environmental protection, and food security projects in Rwanda.

With this grant, the group will work with farmers and communities across the district of Rutsiro to restore depleted croplands, woodlots, and river networks. OSEPCCA will focus on propagating native seedlings that are favored by the local community. These plants, well-suited to the local soil and climate, are more likely to thrive and will lower the risk of invasive species taking over the ecosystem.
