Leona Foundation

Leona Foundation seeks to promote community transformation in Kenya, collaborating with marginalized groups to safeguard the environment. The organization has partnered with several community forest associations to carry out restoration projects, impacting more than 300,000 members within the Mau Forest ecosystem. Over the last three years, the organization has grown 646,000 trees and restored 804 hectares of land.

Leona Foundation will use this funding to revitalize the Bahati Forest, protect biodiversity hotspots, promote natural regeneration in areas with mild degradation, and support community-based forest scouting and surveillance.
