Kula Project

Kula Project’s mission is to eradicate poverty by empowering entrepreneurs in Rwanda's smallholder coffee communities. Through its Kula Fellowship, the group partners with primarily women coffee farmers to provide agronomy training, financial investment, and one-on-one mentorship. After entering the program, participants have seen their coffee yields double and tripled their household incomes.

Kula will use this TerraFund grant to provide coffee and shade trees to a community of approximately 1,500 smallholder coffee farmers in the Nyamasheke District of Rwanda’s Western Province.
