KENVO is a Kenyan community-owned initiative. Formed in 1994, community members established the organization near the Kikuyu Escarpment Forest to safeguard the landscape from degradation. To this day, KENVO continues to champion conservation and sustainable natural resource management throughout the Kikuyu Escarpment and the rest of the Southern Aberdare Forest.
KENVO will use its second TerraFund grant to restore croplands and riparian conservation areas in the Mai Mahiu landscape, improving the livelihoods of farmers who depend on the land.
