Jumuisha Initiative

Jumuisha Initiative unites youth and women for education, support, and social change in Kenya’s Makueni County. The organization’s environmental protection unit works in tandem with the local government to accelerate regreening.

It will use this grant to help native species flourish, restore biodiversity, and promote overall ecosystem resilience in Makueni County’s Kibwezi East constituency. The project aims to transform agriculture and improve farmers’ food security by dotting their cropland with fruit trees.
