Itombwe Génération pour l'Humanité (IGH)

IGH is a non-profit organization in the DRC. Its main mission is to protect the biodiversity and forest habitat of the Itombwe Mountains, which run west of the Rusizi River Basin. Since its establishment in 2014, the organization has involved more than 7,000 local community members through forestry committee training programs.

IGH will use its grant from TerraFund to increase forest cover in South Kivu Province and improve food security by working with farmers to grow trees among their crops.
