ITF is a non-profit organization that has pioneered community-led forestry restoration since 1922. In Kenya, the organization operates in more than 13 counties to restore forests and woodlands, conserve habitats rich in biodiversity, and help communities who rely on forests to develop prosperous, sustainable livelihoods.

Through this second TerraFund grant, ITF will restore deforested and degraded landscapes in key hotspots across Kenya’s Greater Rift Valley, including the counties of West Pokot, Samburu, Marsabit, and Nyandarua. The newly grown trees will prevent soil erosion and protect villages from strong winds.
