Institute of Nature and Environmental Conservation (INEC-Ghana)

INEC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect at-risk species and ecosystems in Ghana’s cocoa-growing hotspots. The organization employs a framework of three “Cs” in its work: conservation, collaboration, and community involvement.

Building on a previously established network of trained community members, INEC will use this second TerraFund grant to advance its existing restoration projects. The organization will clear invasive weeds that displace native seedlings and install bamboo pegs for precise monitoring.
