ILEG is a Kenyan non-profit organization that promotes sustainable development in Eastern Africa through policy research, advocacy, and training. The group partners with local communities to conserve, restore and sustainably use natural resources.
ILEG will use this grant to restore the Athi Kapiti Plains and other degraded ecosystems in Kenya’s semi-arid Kajiado County. While human activity has led to drastic declines in wildlife populations, this regreening work will protect biodiversity and safeguard endangered species like the cheetah.
