Institut d'Enseignement Superieur de Ruhengeri (INES-RUHENGERI)

INES-RUHENGERI is an applied sciences institution in Rwanda’s Northern Province. Through different departments, it implements projects on environmental conservation, land management, and construction.

Through this grant, INES-RUHENGERI will work with Green Cover Initiative Rwanda, a non-profit organization that specializes in conducting technical trainings for farmers, to restore degraded landscapes in the mountainous Nkanka sector and Ishywa Island in Nkombo sector. By equipping farmers with the skills to set up nurseries and agroforestry systems, this work will enhance soil fertility and increase crop yields.
