Initiatives et Actions pour le Développement Local (IADL)

IADL is a Congolese nonprofit working to improve food security and protect natural resources in the Kabare and Walungu Territories of South Kivu Province. To achieve this, IADL joins with grassroots partners and agricultural organizations to promote resilient, sustainable farming systems.

IADL will use this grant to expand its existing restoration efforts in Kabare Territory, a highly degraded mountainous region. In this area, where 80% of the population relies on agriculture for a living, the project will help to control soil erosion and tackle food insecurity.
