Hen Mpoano (Our Coast)

Hen Mpoano, or Our Coast, is a Ghanaian non-profit organization that partners with local communities to sustainably manage coastal and marine ecosystems. In the past three years, Hen Mpoano has grown 153,000 trees and established more than 64 village savings and loan associations within Ghana’s coastal landscapes. The organization has also grown more than 900,000 mangroves through partnerships with several organizations and community members.

This second grant from TerraFund will help to expand restoration in the Greater Amanzule Wetland, building more resilient landscapes across Ghana’s southwestern coastline.
