Farmlife Health Services is dedicated to empowering smallholder farmers through climate-smart agriculture, sustainable land restoration, and value addition, with a strong focus on improving livelihoods, food security, and resilience to climate change. With four years of experience, the organization has built a reputation for innovative approaches, robust community partnerships, and facilitating access to premium markets. Farmlife has demonstrated success in reducing post-harvest losses, increasing farm-gate prices, and supporting farmers—especially women and youth—through training, financial inclusion, and the development of nature-based enterprises.

The proposed project will restore degraded smallholder farmlands in Nakuru County, specifically across the Mau East escarpment in areas such as Njoro, Likia, Mauche, and Teret. The initiative aims to establish 200,000 native and fruit trees over 400 hectares, blending agroforestry with native forest restoration to improve soil fertility, water retention, and biodiversity. Activities include high-quality seedling production, community training in climate-smart practices, and the development of value chains for avocados, honey, and other nature-based enterprises. The project will engage over 1,000 farmers—most of whom are women and youth—through capacity building, employment, and financial services, while ensuring high tree survival rates through structured maintenance and monitoring. By strengthening riparian buffers and supporting local stewardship, the project seeks to deliver lasting ecological recovery and economic resilience for the region.
