Association Protection des Ressources Naturelles pour le Bien-Etre de la Population au Burundi (APRN/BEPB)
In 2019, 3C joined forces with (APRN/BEPB, a non-profit organization with over 20 years of experience in conservation, to create a consortium dedicated to advancing environmental protection in Burundi. To preserve the natural world – an important part of Burundi's heritage – the partnership aims to create a lasting place for it within the local economy.
This grant will allow the consortium to continue its work in the city of Bujumbura, where they will grow trees to protect the surrounding Ntahangwa and Nyabagere watersheds from further flooding and erosion. In addition to tree planting, the project will also include local education programs, nursery creation, and bushfire prevention.
