Starting in 2006, ADIC has employed a three-pronged “People, Planet, and Profit” approach to unite environmental protection, community capacity building, and sustainable income generation in Burundi. ADIC also partners with local government bodies to create co-management agreements for its projects, equitably distributing responsibility among community members.

ADIC will use this grant to promote modern farming techniques, advanced seed and plant varieties, and organic fertilizer among local farmers in the rural communities of Bubanza province. Over time, this work will increase crop yields and provide socioeconomic benefits for local households.
