Albertine Rift Conservation Society (ARCOS Network)

With this funding, FCPEEP and the ARCOS Network are partnering on new project to reforest the Luiro River watershed in the DRC. By growing trees along the riverbank, the two organizations will reduce the area’s vulnerability to landslides.

FCPEEP, a non-profit environmental protection organization from the DRC, will lead implementation and design learning case studies to evaluate the impacts of this work. ARCOS will provide support by training FCPEEP representatives in its BEST approach, a system that aims to build leadership, enhance environmental resilience, foster sustainable businesses, and inspire others through nature-based villages.
