VIA Foundation has joined the Global Coalition for Nature-Based Solutions, a coalition of restoration financiers, NGOs, and governments committing to coordinated action ahead of COP29.
As part of the coalition, VIA Foundation will share its monitoring and verification methodology as an open reference framework for other restoration funders operating in Africa.
"Restoration finance works best when funders aren't duplicating measurement systems or competing for the same grantees," said VIA Foundation CEO Assumpta Uzamukunda. "This coalition is about pulling in the same direction."
